Join Our Mission

While many organizations offer resources for small businesses, The Sol Co Initiative will be the first to provide personalized resources, opportunities, and assistance at an affordable monthly fee directly to Black entrepreneurs.

Not only that, Sol Co genuinely cares about the attainment and progression of Black economics and is willing to go the extra mile to gain results (BAM).

Thus, this gives us a first-mover advantage establishing Sol Co as the primary source and hub for Black businesses and entrepreneurs.

To ensure success for SolCo’s mission, we need:

  1. Dedicated mentors

  2. Qualified members/applicants

  3. A user-friendly and functional web-based platform

Qualified Applicants: Entrepreneurs are eligible to become a Sol-member if they meet the following two criteria:

  1. Pay a small monthly membership fee

  2. Write a short essay about how their business endeavors are linked to their soul

Dedicated Mentors: Sol-members are matched with mentors experienced in business development. Unlike applicants who automatically qualify to be a Sol-member upon meeting the eligibility requirements, Mentors are subject to a strict application process. We are looking for individuals who are responsible, respectful, reliable, and relentlessly committed to helping others.

Mentors will complete a questionnaire detailing their background, experience, and interest, to help us gauge their true intentions and facilitate the matching process. In addition, mentors will go through orientation and training to ensure they understand:

  1. How to navigate the website

  2. The timeline of their obligations and responsibilities

  3. The process for assisting Sol-members
